وزراتِ خزانہ کے ترجمان مزمل اسلم نے کہا ہے کہ کرنسی کی قدر کم ہونے کی وجہ سے پاکستان میں مہنگائی بڑھی ہے، کرنسی میں تسلسل دیکھنے کو آرہا ہے، خسارہ 5ارب ڈالر سے کم ہوکر اب 3 ارب ڈالر رہ گیا۔
اسلام آباد میں پریس کانفرنس کرتے ہوئے ترجمان وزارت خزانہ مزمل اسلم نے بتایا کہ کورونا کی وجہ سے کئی ممالک کی کرنسی کی ویلیو کم ہوئی، پاکستان کی کرنسی میں تسلسل دیکھنے کو آرہا ہے، روپے کی قدر کم ہونے کی وجہ سے پاکستان میں مہنگائی میں اضافہ ہوا ہے ۔
اُن کا کہنا تھا کہ گزشتہ سال کی نسبت اس سال انڈوں اور آٹے کی قیمتوں میں استحکام رہا، اب ہمیں چینی درآمد کرنے کی ضرورت نہیں ہوگی کیونکہ ملک میں وافر مقدار میں چینی موجود ہے جو اس وقت پاکستان میں 83 روپے فی کلو کے حساب سے فروخت ہورہی ہے۔
مزمل اسلم کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ ملک میں استعمال ہونے والا 80 فیصد کوکنگ آئل ہم درآمد کرتے ہیں، جس کا اثر عام آدمی پر پڑ رہا ہے جبکہ اب ہمیں گندم باہر سے منگوانی نہیں پڑے گی۔
وزارت خرانہ کے ترجمان کا کہنا تھا کہ نومبر کے مقابلے میں دسمبر میں مہنگائی نہیں بڑھی، کھانے پینے کی چیزیں اور گھل جانے والی اشیا کی قیمتیں بھی برقرار ہیں، پاکستان کی بر آمدات میں 18فیصد اضافہ اور درآمدات میں 23 فیصد کمی ہوئی، جس سے اب ہمارا تجارتی خسارہ کم ہوگا۔
